February 9-12: St Kitts

February 7-9: Saba
It was time to start heading back East, and we were ready for an adventure. Our options for leaving were (1) on Tuesday, lighter winds but on the nose; (2) on Wednesday, winds from a favorable direction but blowing 25-30; (3) wait it out for another 10 days. We chose option 1, leaving the BVI

February 1 – 6: US Virgin Islands National Park, St John
What a great island! After the bustle (and endless beach bars!) of the BVI, we headed over to St John, stopping first at Francis Bay. For a US registered boat and all-US crew, check-in was all on-line and it was a relief not to have the hassle of going down to Cruz Bay to Customs

January 29-31: Norman Island and Jost Van Dyke
After a week in a marina, we were ready to get going again. We continue to have strong winds and some squally days – even the locals are complaining! – but the good news is that it’s given us cool nights. It’s also worth noting that the last week or so has been fairly quiet
