We left Marblehead soon after 5am on Friday July 8 on our way to Maine. The weather was clear with a good following wind – we have no idea how much wind there was since our wind instruments are currently not working! As we also needed to adjust the battens in our mainsail, we motor sailed with just the jib up, but still hit 10 knots several times. For once we didn’t spend half the day staring at Mt Agamenticus as it was too hazy to see land. We arrived in Boothbay just before 6, having covered about 100 miles. The next day we fixed our Main and were able to sail as we moved on to Long Cove off Tenants Harbor for a peaceful night with lots of birdsongs. Then on Sunday, we had a short trip round to Rockland for our rendezvous with Eastern YC cruise. Very excited for a week of sailing with friends!

So glad all is going well and love the photos. Tried to find an emoji of a sailing boat but failed. Whoever creates them all anyway?!
