Petit St Vincent (PSV) is a tiny island just south of the Tobago Cays, and is home to an exclusive resort. Next to it is the even tinier island of Mopion, which consists of sand and a single palm hut, or palapa. Petit Martinique (PM) forms the rest of the anchorage, but is part of Grenada and so is harder to visit. The whole thing is protected by reef. We anchored off PSV in relatively calm water, although there was a strong current which made swimming interesting. We dinghied over to Mopion but found it was already crowded; nevertheless we walked all the way around (this takes a minute) and took the requisite photos!

A huge treat: Mitch and Renee took us to dinner at PSV! The island is private and generally discourages visiting yachtsmen from going ashore; however they allowed us to visit their bar and restaurant. Surprise – there were actually only 2 guests staying on the entire island. They must have felt rather isolated, but maybe that’s what they were looking for!

The next day we left PSV and went round to Chatham Bay on the west side of Union Island. Jeremy grabbed a ride into Clifton with local bar owner Seckie, to clear us out of the St Vincent. We lazed at a local beach club and then had a lobster dinner at Seckie and Vanessa’s restaurant. We were able to show them a photo we took at the same spot ten years ago – funny how neither the menu nor the faces have changed!!
